Robin’s renaissance

My Process

The feeling never hits the same way twice. I’m inspired by the different colors, textures, and energetic vibrations I see in my everyday life. While my inspiration often comes from the ordinary, I strive through my work to impart to the audience the sentiment the day-to-day can inspire. My process is non-traditional. I like to create the unexpected. When I am in ‘the zone’ ideas come to me quickly and I work through those feelings. I prefer to use acrylics for this reason- so that I can apply many layers to my paintings so you can truly appreciate the depth of emotion.

All of my pieces are abstract expressionism. My hope is that your own emotions and interpretations can be summoned and healed by viewing each piece.

Art is personal and when I lost my husband to cancer in 2015, I was almost afraid I would lose my artistic vision through the grieving process. The moment I had the courage to pick up my brushes again I realized how cathartic and healing painting was for me. My art is the catalyst for where I am today. Even if life gets tough, listen to the voice inside of you and trust the process.

This b*tch is back……with Acrylic.
